The Assembly took off with the welcome remarks of Fr. Antonio Molavin, SDB, Commission on Missions Animation (CMA) FIN Delegate. Afterwhich, Fr. Donnie Duchin Duya, SDB, Commission on Social Communication (CSCom) Delegate, gave a historical background of the SMD that has begun since 1988. After this, he gave a presentation on social media centered on the SMD theme, Communicating Christ Today.
Fr. Molavin then shared some possibilities which each house could further explore to animate the respective Educative Pastoral Communities SMD celebration.
• Propagate CAGLIERRO 11 and CAGLIERO LIVE
• Praying for our missionaries or getting in touch with them through social media especially those who belonged to our houses in one way or another
• Opening and closing of Salesian mission month (Oct 11 & Nov 11)
• Missionary Exhibit which may even be done online
• Connect with the Filipino Salesian Missionaries abroad who come from your particular setting or have worked there
• Fundraising for the Salesian Communication network in Bolivia.
• Coming to know more about Servant of God, Don Carlo Braga SDB
• Promoting Missions thru Good Morning and Evening Talks
• Promoting the Salesian Mission Volunteering (SMV)
The assembly concluded with the praying of the SMD 2022 Prayer.
