Tunja, Colombia - September 2022 - On Saturday, September 10, the Feast Day of the Salesian Province of Bogotá (COB) was held at the Salesian Institute "Maldonado" in Tunja, a feast of gratitude of the provincial community around the Provincial. The celebration began with the Eucharist presided over by Bishop Carmilo Fernando Castrillón Pizano, SDB, in the presence of the Councilor for the Interamerica Region, Fr. Hugo Orozco, members of the Salesian Family groups, and collaborators of the Provincial Headquarters. The cultural act began with the presentation of gymnastics performances by high school seniors, which was followed by several artistic performances. Commemorative plaques were also presented to Salesians and works celebrating significant anniversaries this year. The celebration concluded with the words of Fr. John Jairo Gómez Rúa, SDB, COB Provincial, who thanked the entire provincial community and the Salesian Family for accompanying him with prayer on behalf of his service of animating the Salesian mission on behalf of the poorest.
