Brazil – Over 700 young people participate in Salesian Youth Festival
Recife, Brazil - November 2022 - After a two-year break due to the pandemic, over 700 young people, from the dozens of works of the Salesians of Don Bosco and of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians across North-East Brazil, gathered at the Salesian School of the Sacred Heart, in Recife, from 25 to 27 November to experience the Salesian Youth Festival together. Spirituality, music, dance, theatre, sporting activities, and moments of conviviality were the key features. Also, on November 26, a Mass was celebrated in honor of Saint Artemide Zatti, presided over by Fr Francisco Inácio, Superior of the Brazil-Recife Province (BRE). The last day spotlighted the talents of the young people, who performed in theatrical performances and choreography. The event ended with the Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Fr Maurício Carlos, Delegate for Youth Ministry - Schools Sector, and with thanks to Fr Inácio and Sr. Giselle Ferreira, FMA, for the organization.
