Ecuador - Alumni of Don Bosco reach out to the poor and vulnerable people for Christmastime

30 December 2022

Cuenca, Ecuador – December 2022 – In this Christmas time, several associations of Don Bosco Alumni gather together with the aim of bringing joy to vulnerable people in various squares and parks in different cities of the country, with the purpose of delivering joy. This year in the city of Cuenca, 500 families were helped with Christmas hampers containing food, clothes, basic medicines and more than 1500 children were given toys and candies. Many Alumni help us reach out to these vulnerable people by offering us different donations. Among the Don Alumni who organise and support this event there are the groups ''Healing Wounds'' , ''Salesians of San Francisco'', Centro San José de Manta and the Don Bosco Alumni Center with its students of the Carlos Crespi Educational Community. During the year, every Saturday, the ''Solidarity Breakfast'' is also delivered in these places. This event is also held by the Don Bosco Alumni of Kennedy in Quito and those of the city of Riobamba, who delivered hampers to more than 300 low-income families.
