San Jose, Costa Rica - March 2023 - On March 5, in the Mornese Spiritual House, the Fifth Provincial Congress of Salesian Cooperators of CAM South elected its new Provincial Council for 2023/2026. Karina Pico of Panama is the new Coordinator of the CAM South Province, assisted by: Provincial Secretary, Alejandro Mosquera (Panama); Provincial Administrator, Erick Martínez (Panama); Councilor for Formation, Claudia Zepeda (Nicaragua); Councilor for Communication, Magaly Ramos (Nicaragua); Councilor for Apostolate, Youth and Family Ministry, Margarita Fuentes (Costa Rica); and Councilor for Vocational Promotion, Oscar Quesada (Costa Rica). The coordinators of the national country council are: Agustín Almario (Panama), Fabricio Umaña (Costa Rica), and Celin Muñoz (Nicaragua). They are joined by SDB Provincial Delegate, Fr. René Santos, and FMA Provincial Delegate, Sr. Aracelly Mayorga. The Southern CAM Province is composed of Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama, and since its establishment, it has been changing its Provincial Executive Secretariat every three years, which in the next three years will be in charge of Panama.
