Cameroon - 400 young people participate in spirituality weekend of ATE VP Salesians: "Young people, under the action of the Holy Spirit, be yeast in the human family"

Yaoundé, Cameroon - March 2023 - On March 11 and 12, a weekend of spirituality was held at the Theological Studentate "Saint Augustin de Nkolafeme" in Yaoundé on the theme: "Young people, under the action of the Holy Spirit, be yeast in the human family," now in its 8th edition. Organized by the Salesian Vice-Province of Equatorial Tropical Africa (ATE) the event brought together about 400 young people from the Archdiocese of Yaoundé and neighboring dioceses, as well as many religious men and women from other congregations working in the area. Also present were Fr. Roland Mintsa, Superior of the ATE VP, and Fr. Xavier Aimé Zilly, Delegate for Youth Ministry of the ATE Vice-Province. On the first day, after the welcome and opening ceremony, the Stations of the Cross took place. Lectures followed: by Prof. Emmanuel Lemana, on the theme "Biblical Approach of Leaven and its Challenges in the Human Family," and by Dr. Solange Ngah, on the theme "Commitment of the Laity in Social and Ecclesial Life." Various spiritual and prayerful moments were held after the lectures. Other activities took place on the second day, culminating in the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Msgr. Jean Mbarga, Metropolitan Archbishop of Yaoundé.
