Johannesburg, South Africa – May 2023 – On Saturday 13 May, the feast of St. Mary Mazzarello, the Salesian Family in Johannesburg came together at Ennerdale to celebrate Salesian Family Day. The day began with mass, with Fr. Vaclav Klement [AFM Provincial] as the main celebrant. During the mass, Barbara Myburg made her promises as a Salesian Cooperator. The program also included a reflection on Sanctity in the Salesian Family and reflections on the Strenna for 2023. Some responses to the question regarding Holiness as a proposal to young people: Be present amongst the young. Offer the young Salesian saints as models of holiness. Be a good example to the young people. Be of service to your family and the neighbourhood.
