D.R. Congo - Don Bosco Industrial Technical Institute in Goma's "open day" between innovation and sustainability
Goma, D.R. Congo - May 2023 - During an Open Day at the Don Bosco Industrial Technical Institute in Goma (ITIG, in French), students showed visitors the projects implemented by the various sectors, as well as the laboratories and school facilities. The audience was especially impressed by the students' achievements, such as the assembly of a car with parts taken from scrap discarded by other workshops, the second such product, after the one made last year; the fabrication of a road sign indicator; voice-activated lighting system; opening doors with magnetic cards; soap making and a potato peeler machine, as well as many other successful projects. Fr. Deogratias Mungumwa, SDB, Principal of ITIG, congratulated the students on all their achievements, stressing that the objective of the Open Day is to allow the public to discover the innovative achievements of the students in relation to the schooling they received.
