New Rochelle, N.Y., United States – May 28, 2023 – Fathers Branden Gordon and Joshua Sciullo were ordained priests on May 27 at the hands of Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga. The rite of ordination was celebrated at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Orange, New Jersey. More than 60 Salesians took part in the liturgy, besides numerous Salesian Sisters and other members of the Salesian Family, members of the new priests’ families, and students from several Salesian schools—from as far away as Sherbrooke, Quebec, and Tampa, Florida. The cardinal’s homily stressed that the newly ordained should become identified with Christ, to whom they belong entirely and who sends them to be influencers among the young.
