Manique, Portugal - June 2025 - In an atmosphere of profound gratitude and communion, the Salesian Community of Manique hosted the Feast day of the Salesian Province of Portugal (POR) on 10 June. The annual meeting was also an opportunity to celebrate the anniversaries of religious and priestly life of several Salesians, for their witness of generous dedication to the educational and evangelising mission for young people. This year's celebrations brought together Salesians from different communities, in a day spent as a family under the banner of fraternity and thanksgiving. In addition to the jubilee tributes, the Provincial Feast day is also a time when Salesians come together to thank their Superior for his service. In fraternal communion, gratitude was expressed to Fr Tarcízio Morais for his dedication, pastoral zeal and mission of animation and governance. Inspired by the words of GC29 “Being passionate about Jesus Christ and dedicated to the young is the heart of our identity and the energy that moves our lives” - the meeting was above all a day of communion, recognition and renewed commitment to the charism of Don Bosco.
