Spain - New session of the Formation Course for Pastoral Teams
Madrid, Spain – October 2025 – Faithful to the commitment to continue forming those who carry out the task of coordination and pastoral guidance in the Salesian Houses of Spain’s St James the Greater Province (SSM), a new session of the Formation Course for Pastoral Teams has been launched. As indicated in the documents of the Congregation, the mission of the Coordinator and the Pastoral Team is to guarantee the identity of the School, according to the Salesian Educational Proposal, through the coordination of individuals, the planning of activities that promote dialogue between faith and culture, the development of the spiritual-transcendent dimension, and the coherent coordination of the local Educative and Pastoral Plan (SEPP). To carry out this task, those who take it on must possess adequate skills, grouped into four main areas: human, professional, Christian, and Salesian. The formation programme involved 25 people from 14 different houses of the SSM Province. The Provincial Plan for the Formation of Coordinators and Pastoral Teams takes place over two consecutive academic years. Each year consists of one week of intensive formation and takes place during the first term of the school year.
