Italy – Young People of Missionary Animation with Mother Chiara Cazzuola and Fr. Fabio Attard
Turin, Italy – November 2025 – On November 8 and 9, the “beAMission” event took place in Turin-Valdocco as part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the First Salesian Missionary Expedition. The initiative was the result of collaboration among young people, Salesians of Don Bosco, and Daughters of Mary Help of Christians from all over Italy. “beAMission” was born from the desire to come together, share experiences, and renew the missionary journey—starting from the lived experiences of recent years and engaging in dialogue with Salesian missionaries from around the world. On the final day, Sunday, November 9, the young participants gathered for Mass presided over by the Rector Major, Fr. Fabio Attard, followed by the missionary commissioning of the youth. In his homily, the Rector Major encouraged them to become bearers of love, welcome, and fraternity. “Love that is freely received,” he emphasized, “when welcomed with an open heart, becomes a contagious love.” At the end of the Mass, the participants gathered in front of the statue of Don Bosco to capture in a photo this joyful moment, together with the Rector Major and the Mother General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Mother Chiara Cazzuola.
