Quito, Ecuador - October 2017 - From 9 to 12 October at the Salesian Center for Permanent Formation in Quito, the Delegates for Formation of 13 Provinces of the Inter-America Region, led by Fr Timothy Ploch, Inter-America Region Councilor, Fr Salvador Delgadillo, Director of the Center, and Fr Salvador Cleo Murguía, of the Training Dicastery, met to discuss: becoming aware of the challenges posed to formation in the region and to promote the reflection and design of the greater guidelines of the Salesian Congregation and of the CG27. The central theme is the study on the reorganization and reconfiguration of Salesian vocational schools requested by the Rector Major during his Bolivian Visit. This would also be the time to reflect on the Identity of the Salesian Religious. Special attention is also devoted to the study of the formation plans of the prenovitiate and of the novitiate along the directives of the Congregation, as well as other elements of the Regional Formation Commission.
