Venezuela - Conclusion of Fr Timothy Ploch's Extraordinary Visitation

Caracas, Venezuela - May 2018 - The Extraordinary Visitation of Fr Timothy Ploch, Regional Councilor for Interamerica, to the "San Luca" Salesian Province of Venezuela (VEN) ended on 31 May. For two and a half months, Fr Ploch visited all of the country's Salesian houses, bringing the fraternal greeting of the Rector Major, learning about and animating the joint work of Salesians and lay people, taking note of the difficult situation Venezuela is going through and the importance of the work of the Salesians who continue to accompany and offer opportunities to young people, especially the most needy. During his stay in the provincial house, Fr Ploch met with staff and workers of the various offices and all the groups of the Salesian Family. On the morning of the last day of the Extraordinary Visitation, Fr Ploch met the Provincial Council followed by a Thanksgiving Mass. In the afternoon, before the Directors of the various centers and Salesians in formation, Fr Ploch presented the final report of the Extraordinary Visitation, an important working document towards redesigning the VEN Province.
