Cape Town, South Africa - August 2018 - At the Schoenstatt Retreat House in Cape Town, the second retreat for Salesians in the Southern African Province (AFM) took place from August 5 to 10. At the end of the activities, the Regional Councilor for Africa-Madagascar, Fr Américo Chaquisse, intervened and welcomed the renewal of the promises of four trainees. The retreat, led by Fr Martin McCormack, revolved around the theme of community life and the ways for Salesians to bear witness in the world as mystics and prophets.
