Brazil - Salesian Family gathers 25 thousand people on Marian pilgrimage

Aparecida, Brazil - August 2018 - On August 18, various groups of the Salesian Family, with the participation of the provinces of SDB and FMA, gathered at the National Shrine of "Nossa Senhora Aparecida", patron saint of Brazil. Present were 25 thousand people, with the motto "Dear mother, bless us." The pilgrimage began in Puerto Itaguaçu district, where in 1717 the image of "Our Lady Aparecida" was found by fishermen. The Eucharistic celebration was presided by Mons João Inácio Müller, OFM, who in his homily congratulated the Salesian Family.
