Canlubang, Philippines - January 2019 - Salesians and lay collaborators in the mission of "Don Bosco College" in Canlubang met on January 3 to celebrate Mass in the diocesan shrine of Mary Help of Christians, inaugurate the new year and recall the 48th anniversary of the death of the Salesian Servant of God, Fr Carlo Braga, and the centenary of his missionary activity. In the homily, Fr Joel Camaya, SDB, Director of the center, discussed the figure of Fr Braga, urging everyone to learn more about his life, to imitate his missionary example and to ask for special graces through his intercession. After the Eucharist, the participants visited the Salesian cemetery that houses the mortal remains of Fr Braga and stopped for a few minutes in prayer.
