India - Feast of Don Bosco and opening of preparations for centenary of Salesians' arrival

Guwahati, India - January 2019 - On January 31, on the occasion of the feast of Don Bosco, Fr Januarius S. Sangma, Superior of the Province of Guwahati (ING), officially opened the preparations for the celebration of the centenary of the arrival of the Salesians in the North-East of India, which will be celebrated in 2022. The event consisted of raising the centenary flag, singing the hymn composed for the occasion, planting a tree and reciting the centenary prayer; finally the Provincial left a final message. 250 young people from various sectors of the Salesian Family apostolate took part in the event.
