Porto, Portugal - May 2019 - The new headquarters and bookshop of the Salesian publishing house "Edições Salesianas" was inaugurated on May 23rd. The blessing ceremony was presided over by Msgr. Manuel Linda, bishop of Porto, in the presence of Fr José Aníbal Mendonça, Provincial of Portugal, Fr Sebastião Coelho, Administrator of "Edições Salesianas", Fr José Cordeiro and Fr Rui Alberto, Director and Editorial Director of the publisher respectively. During his speech Fr Mendonça reiterated that more than a commercial space, a Salesian bookshop is a place where people are encouraged to meet and share "through their testimony, their culture and their faith". "Edições Salesianas" was founded in 1947 in Porto, boasts an editorial catalog that covers the areas of education, leisure time animation and evangelization, and is also present in Lisbon and Évora.
