Yamanaka, Japan - June 2019 - On 2 June, the Provincial Chapter of the Salesians of Japan (GIA) began. 29 capitulars take part with the participation, for the first time, of lay collaborators in the mission from the country's various Salesian centers. In addition to the issues in preparation for the 28th General Chapter (GC28), to be held in Turin in 2020, the capitulars addressed other important matters for the GIA Province and decided on concrete action plans. With the meeting of the Salesians of Japan, all 12 provincial chapters of the East Asia-Oceania Region were thus concluded.
