Brazil - Colors of Don Bosco embellish alleyway in São Paulo

14 June 2019

São Paulo, Brazil - June 2019 - On June 10th the alley "Bom Retiro" was inaugurated in São Paulo, part of the "Coloring the Alley Project", developed by artist Marco Valadares together with a team of “Workshop de Graffiti” of the Center for Children and Adolescents “Better Life Program” of the “Dom Bosco Institute - Bom Retiro.” The objective of the initiative is to provide educational actions that promote youth leadership, the development of self-confidence and new life prospects. The alley adjacent to the Salesian center has thus become an urban art space that has made transit not only pleasant and safer, but also a tourist site for photos and selfies. Among the street art images created there is also one of Don Bosco and his dog, "il Grigio", made by 9-10 year olds, with the help of Valadares.
