Nairobi, Kenya - June 2019 - On June 27, 16 participants from Kenya, South Sudan, Tanzania, South Africa, Uganda and Madagascar completed a training course on media conducted by the "Bosco Eastern Africa Multimedia Services" (BEAMS). The course began on June 3rd at the "Don Bosco Youth Educational Services" (DBYES) in Karen, Nairobi, with the aim of providing participants with communication and multimedia skills. Various topics are covered, including radio news, its impacts and limits, and the types of radio programs; film criticism; photography; introduction to web-design / blog; bulletin board, an effective means of communication; preparation of posters, newsletters and magazines; audio and video productions. The program includes various learning methods, with lessons, practical sessions, group discussions, role-plays, videos and group projects.
