Sednaya, Syria - July 2019 - On 3 July, near the Salesian house of Maara Sednaya, the meeting of Syrian Catholics from all over Syria began, with the participation of young people from the Salesian oratory in Damascus and Aleppo. The event took place in the presence of Patriarch Ignatius Joseph III Younan, with the participation of bishops and Syro-Catholic parish priests from all over Syria. On 4 July, surprisingly, there was a visit by the President of Syria, Bashar Hafiz al-Assad, who wanted to witness his love for young Syrians and his faith in their future in the country and to encourage them to rebuild Syria.
