Hungary - Salesian Provincial of Hungary receives “Knight's Cross”
Budapest, Hungary - August 2019 - On the occasion of the foundation of the Hungarian State, on August 20, the Feast of St. Stephen, King of Hungary, the President of the Hungarian State, János Áder, conferred the honor of the Hungarian Knight's Cross on Fr Béla Ábrahám, Superior of the Salesian Province of Hungary (UNG). The award was given to him for his work on behalf of youth, especially for underprivileged children, and for having built communities to assist them. The Knight's Cross was handed over to Fr Ábrahám during the Hungarian Parliament's celebration by the President's vicar, Zsolt Semjén.
