Mumbai, India - August 2019 - In recent days, the "Don Bosco Development Society" (DBDS) organized a free medical camp to carry out health checkups and eye exams for women and children living in the slum of Islampura in Wadala. 131 patients were examined by field doctors. Ms. Basanti Solanki, who is part of the DBDS staff, welcomed the doctors and paramedics, thanking them for making themselves available. The doctors, after visiting the patients and having diagnosed various diseases, distributed ointments and medicines to allow them to heal themselves adequately. The slum population expressed the greatest gratitude for the service received. The medical camp was organized by the DBDS in collaboration with the "Mahanagar Gas Limited" company.
