Slovakia - SDB and FMA joint formation on the digital world
Badin, Slovakia - November 2019 - Facebook and Instagram, "Virtual Reality", education on the use of mobile phones and the experience of the digital oratory were the topics discussed in the Youth Ministry meeting of the Slovak Province, held in Badin on 5 and 6 November. In addition to those in charge of the oratories, several Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and lay people also participated in the meeting. "For our generation, the digital world is already for life. Either we feel at ease and we also discover the beauty and we bring our values to become influencers, or we will feel like we are bogged down ... This theme is not for a year but for the rest of our lives. We want to be present because there are young people," said the Delegate for Youth Ministry, Fr Jan Holubcik. Two lay professionals in the field - Peter Sebo and Barbora Okruhlanska - presented the topics on the possibilities of the digital world for the Salesian Family, the impact on the life and education of young people, on how to understand it, and on the risks and positive factors, and they offered a number of educational answers and solutions.
