Cape Kennedy, United States - December 2019 - From November 28 to December 4, 22 students of the Salesian Institute "San Juan Bosco" of Dosquebradas, belonging to the Colombia-Medellín Province (COM), are living a formative experience at NASA's "John F. Kennedy Space Center." The experience intends to generate scientific and research projects to foster students' learning and knowledge. The students, who are part of a process led by the Salesian College and the Institute of Astrobiology of Colombia, carry out activities such as virtual simulation of walking on Mars, approach to astronaut training, robot programming and visits to the launch pad, the Saturn space rocket and the Atlantis shuttle. The students are accompanied by Erick Ortiz and Daniel Martínez, professors of Physics and Chemistry of the Salesian College, and are in charge of developing the innovative proposal that intends to include scientific projects to strengthen the skills of Salesian students and make them visible to the community.
