Brazil - Municipal honorary title to Salesians for 80-year presence in Lins

Lins, Brazil - December 2019 - During a session of the Municipal Council of Lins held on December 6, a title was presented in honor of the 80 years of Salesian presence in Lins. The ceremony was attended by the UniSalesiano executives, course coordinators, professors, collaborators, students of the University Center, members of civil, religious and military society, with the special participation of Fr Arlindo Lima Guillermo Morales, SDB, and Sr. Nilda Rangel, FMA. Councilor Rogério Barros, who presented the bill to award the honor to the Salesians, spoke of the history of the Salesian's arrival in Lins on May 24, 1939, underlining their contribution to the construction of the city. Various interventions followed, which retraced the history of the Salesians in Lins.
