Mexico - Congress of Salesian Cooperators from Southern Mexico
Coacalco, Mexico - February 2020 - The Congress of Salesian Cooperators of Southern Mexico was held on 1 and 2 February. It was led by Fr Urbano Rodríguez Higareda, Provincial Delegate for the Salesian Family and for the Salesian Cooperators, in the presence of the World Councilor Francisco Martín Burciaga. Through four conferences, the participants addressed different central problems of the Preventive System, in order to understand and deepen the identity of the Salesian Cooperator for today's young people. They also reflected on the mission of the laity in the face of the socio-political challenges of the current world and on other fundamental issues. Then, in an environment of prayer and deep Salesian spirituality, they elected the new Provincial Council of the Salesian Cooperators for the three-year period, 2020-2023.
