Lubumbashi, R.D. Congo - February 2020 - The blessing ceremony of the first stone of the Salesian University of the Central Africa Province (AFC) took place on 4 February, a project supported directly by the Rector Major of the Salesians, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, and by the General Council. The ceremony, held at the Cité Mariale, was chaired by Fr Albert Kabuge, AFC Provincial, together with the Management Committee of the Salama High School of Computer Science. "This Salesian University will do a great service to the Congolese nation and to the local Church, and wants to continue to form good Christians and upright citizens, in the style of Don Bosco," said Fr Kabuge.
