Myanmar - The study and education of young people as a push for a bright future

Yangon, Myanmar - February 2020 - The “Fondazione Opera Don Bosco Onlus” of Milano, Italy, has been active in Myanmar for years to support young people according to the dictates of Don Bosco. Recently at the Don Bosco Center in Myitkyina, it supported the creation of a new study room and new environments for the benefit of young students, girls and boys from all over the region. In the past 11 years, the Don Bosco Center has awarded over 500 students a diploma in carpentry, mechanics and welding, tailoring and embroidery. Also recently, the Foundation has also inaugurated a new building at a house of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in the Hlaing Thar Yar district of Yangon, a suburb inhabited 99% by Buddhists. The new house will serve to welcome kindergarten children.
