Salerno, Italy - January 2021 - The Councilor for the Mediterranean Region, Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, began his Extraordinary Visitation in the houses of the Southern Province (IME) presiding with the young people of Salerno at the vigil in preparation for the feast day of Don Bosco, entitled "Seeds of hope ... with Don Bosco", sharing familiar traits of his vocation. On Sunday 31, he presided over the Eucharistic celebration with the young and the Pastoral Educational Community of Salerno, then he inaugurated and blessed the renovated spaces of the oratory and wished everyone a happy feast day of Don Bosco, cutting the cake with the rector of the work of Salerno, Fr Pasquale Martino.

Bukavu, D.R. Congo - December 2020 - From 27 to 31 December, 17 Salesian Cooperators of Bukavu participated in a spiritual retreat led by their delegate, Fr Piero Gavioli, SDB, at the philosophy seminary of Murhesa. Through the online training course "MOOC", published by the French Church, the participants rediscovered the importance and meaning of the Mass for the Christian life.

Boroko, Papua New Guinea - January 2021 - On 24 January a meeting of the Past Pupils of the "Don Bosco Technical College" of Kumgi was held. It was attended by, among others, the Archbishop Emeritus of Rabaul, Msgr. Francesco Panfilo, SDB, and the Provincial of the Salesian Vice Province of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands (PGS), Fr Gregorio Bicomong. In his speech, Msgr. Panfilo briefly told the story of Don Bosco and also gave suggestions on how to feel part of the Salesian Family. Fr Bicomong offered a message inspired by the Rector Major's Strenna 2021 on how to have hope in this time of pandemic by building a deep trust in God.
