Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - January 2021 - At the Salesian house "Don Bosco Mekanissa", the Strenna 2021 of the Rector Major was presented to the Salesian Family "Moved by hope: 'See, I am making all things new' (Rev 21, 5)". The presentation was curated by Fr Chrys Saldanha and was followed by discussions and group sharing. More than 40 members of the Salesian Family participated in the event, including Past Pupils, Salesian Cooperators, teachers, parents and representatives of the parish church.
Vadodara, India - January 2021 – In January, the "Don Bosco Development Society" (DBDS), the Planning and Development Office of the Salesian Province of Mumbai (INB), is carrying out a health care and awareness raising project for the disadvantaged children and young people of Vadovara (Gujarat).
Negombo, Sri Lanka - January 2021 - On 15 January the Salesian Vice Province of Sri Lanka (LKC), led by Fr Joseph Almeida, inaugurated a structure for the rearing of a thousand pigs whose sale will support Salesian works.
Soyapango, El Salvador - January 2021 - The promise of 14 new members of the Association of Salesian Cooperators of El Salvador was celebrated on 17 January at the "San Juan Bosco" temple. The Eucharist was presided over by Fr José Manuel Solano, National Delegate for the Salesian Cooperators, and the promises accepted by Salvador Torres, Provincial Councilor for Initial Formation (ASC). The new members received an online greeting from Antonio Boccia, World Coordinator of the ASC.
