For this reason, the European network of Salesian youth organisations, partnered with “Jeugddienst Don Bosco - Flanders” and “Mouvement Salésien des Jeunes France/Belgique-Sud” in France and Wallonia, to offer a Good Evening Word each day at 19:00 CET on Facebook.
Published on the organisations’ respective Facebook pages, the Good Evening is the same one translated in the language of the organisation. It is written by young people and members of the Salesian Family and aims to bring comfort and hope during these times where most countries are facing lockdown or at least social distancing.
This first “Good evening” was written by Stefano, DBYN trainer and member of Movimento Giovanile Salesiano in Italy.
This is not the only way in which DBYN and the Salesians of Belgium are working to to bring joy in this time of isolation, loneliness and suffering for many. Always at Oud-Heverlee, children are creating drawings and notes for the elderly who are shut-in and isolated because of the virus.
