Kenya – Online graduation ceremony for Salesian TVET Center Management staff

(ANS - Nairobi) - On 11 January the graduation ceremony for the staff of the “Salesian TVET Center Management”, which had been engaged in an e-learning course in recent months, was held online. Specifically designed to improve the quality of Vocational Training, the course was divided into four modules: organizational management, financial management, entrepreneurship, and green and sustainable approaches.

In delivering his congratulatory message on behalf of “Don Bosco Tech Africa” (DBTA), Fr George TJ, Executive Director, congratulated the graduates for their perseverance and concentration, which allowed them to complete the course. He then expressed his gratitude to the whole team of the "International Training Center of ILO" (ITC-ILO) for their professionalism in conducting the formation sessions and, above all, for always maintaining a Salesian spirit. Finally, Fr TJ wanted to thank the Salesian Mission Office of Bonn, “Don Bosco Mondo”, for their support and financing of the project.

The ceremony, moderated by the program manager, Mr. Stefano Merante, saw the awarding of 25 graduates and another 8 people who were awarded certificates of participation.

The nine-week course began on 12 October 2020 and ended on 16 December. The participants of this group came from English-speaking countries: Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria and South Sudan. Starting from Monday 25 January, another group of 136 people will be formed from French and Portuguese-speaking countries.
