RMG – Webinar "Schools that excite"

19 May 2021

(ANS - Rome) - A school that excites, emotionally moves, impresses is an environment in which students have the opportunity to learn and be happy. Life in the school or Vocational Training Center is a wonderful opportunity to weave a wide range of relationships that promote learning and well-being. And since, as Don Bosco said, educating "is a matter of the heart", the Salesians decided to offer, on 6 and 13 May last, some ideas on how to pay attention to and implement the socio-emotional dimension in educational environments, through webinars aimed at school leaders from all over Europe.

About 70 of these executives joined this proposal from the School and Vocational Training Office of the Youth Ministry Sector. The meetings were held by prof. José Ramiro Viso, of Spanish origin, doctor of education and author of the book “Schools that move”.

In extreme situations, such as those we are experiencing as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, emotional skills are even more valued. The emotional aspect of the study is something that can make a difference. This dimension of socio-emotional learning also helps to respond to the challenges of school today.
