Chile – “Llave de Fe” returns with season 2

30 June 2021

(ANS - Santiago) - Faced with the need to continue evangelizing young people through music on digital platforms, the Salesians in Chile are launching a second season of "Llave de Fe", the musical program that promotes musical talent and the testimony of the life of various Catholic artists, national and international, through mini-radio concerts.

The first season's music and life experiences have won over many fans and followers. For this reason, with the intention of reaching a new audience, the Llave de Fe team has formed an alliance with "Radio Maria Chile", a Catholic radio with over 20 years of presence in the country.

“This alliance with Radio Maria Chile is important for us as a Multimedia Center of the Salesians in Chile because we are generators of evangelization contents, and this agreement allows us to amplify this work we have done around Catholic music, bringing it to thousands of listeners nationwide who follow the broadcaster on frequency 89.3,” said Felipe Valdés, director of the Multimedia Center.

For this new season, the program continues with its usual host and presenter, Alejandro "Jano" Manríquez, and includes a program of mini-concerts with renowned songwriters - such as Fran Correa, Debeny Espina, Tere Larrain ... - as well as a space for “new musicians”, designed to highlight young up-and-coming musicians who want to bring the Gospel in music and their experiences of faith to the whole believing community.

"In the first season we had several nationally known exponents, who encouraged us to continue looking for other musical experiences and testimonies of faith that would motivate the entire community to continue evangelization on digital platforms," said Pablo Chacon, producer of the program.

The first episode of the second season will be broadcast on Thursday 8 July at 9:30 pm in Chile (UTC -4) on the Facebook page of the Salesians Chile and on Radio Maria Chile (89.3 FM), and will present the experience of Fran Correa, a Chilean singer-songwriter.

“Our main expectation is that the people who listen to and watch this program will be able to draw closer to God through the songs and testimony of these Catholic artists. We want to open up and be a showcase for emerging Chilean and international musicians who are contributing to our Church through their work,” said Alejandro Manríquez. Llave de Fe maintains its objective of offering a digital space for reflection and encounter with God, under the general direction of Felipe Valdés, head of the Salesian multimedia studio "Caetera Tolle", and Vicente Fritz, Provincial Delegate for Communication Social.
