(ANS – Rome) – The annual meeting of Youth Ministry Delegates of South Asia was held in ZOOM platform from 2-5 November 2021. It was animated by the General Councillor for Youth Ministry Fr Miguel Angel García Morcuende and Fr Patrick Anthonyraj of the Team. The National heads of the Commission for Dimensions of Youth Ministry also participated along with the Provincial Delegates for Youth Ministry. There were 16 participants.

The themes for the collective reflection and discussion were centred on “Youth Ministry & Family”, “The Parishes and Shrines entrusted to the Salesians”, “Salesian Youth Movement” and “Youth Ministry Structures and its impact”. The charismatic identity was echoed throughout these themes.

The last day was dedicated for the joint meeting with the sector for Formation on the theme “Formation and accompaniment of the apostolic dimension”. Beginning with the synthesis of the questionnaire, the General Councillors Fr García Morcuende and Fr Ivo Coelho, for Formation, shared their reflections. After having inspired by the good practices of the provinces, the Delegates of each province came out with operative commitments in their context.

Fr García Morcuende in his concluding message said that AUDACITY, HOPE, RENEWAL are the three words full of content and meaning for our life HERE AND NOW in the pastoral formation of the Salesians. Having gained greater clarity, the Delegates expressed their enthusiasm and dedication in the journey of the Congregation for and with the young people.
