Africa – Online Regional Meeting for Representative of Past Pupils in Africa

(ANS) – The World Confederation of Past Pupils of Don Bosco organised the first online Regional Meeting for representatives of National Federation on the 26th March 2022.  The Regional meeting was organised by Mr. Balthazar Maniratunga, the African Regional Counselor,  who led and animated the meeting that was attended by representatives from the members of the World Confederation: Burundi, Kenya, Congo DCR, Uganda, and Mozambique, as well as the aspiring members:  Angola, Tanzania, and Rwanda.  Each country presented its country report and forthcoming activities. 

The meeting was also addressed by the World President Mr. Bryan Magro, the Secretary General Mr. Peter Kovac and the Delegate Bro. Dominic Nyugen SDB and attended by the World Treasurer Mr. Celso Nogueira.  The representatives attending the meeting were encouraged to strengthen their communication and networking on a world level and on a regional level.  To achieve this goal the representatives agreed to continue to meet regularly and intensify their efforts to be well organised as non-governmental organisations and to promote solidarity projects reaching out to the young.

The World Confederation of Past Pupils of Don Bosco are committed to continue the Africa Project which aims to strengthen the presence of the past pupils and friends of Don Bosco movement in all the Provinces of Africa.
