El Salvador – University of Generations: new institutional campaign of "Don Bosco" University

15 September 2022

(ANS - Antiguo Cuscatlán) - The University "Don Bosco" (UDB) presented its new institutional campaign called: "UDB, the University of Generations," an innovative concept through which the educational institution presents itself to Salvadoran society as an institution of higher education that for more than three decades has been training professionals with different generational profiles, positively impacting the lives of thousands of Salvadoran families.

The launch of the new campaign took place in recent days at the Antiguo Cuscatlán campus in the presence of UDB officials, entrepreneurs, strategic partners, benefactors, students, and journalists.

By the term "generations," UDB means a group of people with similar characteristics, interests, and tastes, driven by a desire to grow, develop, and transform their environment through education. Indeed, the country's growing economic, social, cultural, and political transformation is driving the UDB to continue innovating its educational processes, resiliently adapting to current characteristics in a world dominated by increasingly demanding generations of students.

With this new institutional campaign, the UDB seeks to maintain and strengthen its person-centered pedagogical model, starting from its competency-based approach. The aim is to get even closer to its target audience by proposing comprehensive educational programs that includes undergraduate and postgraduate courses, in blended (an eLearning approach that combines traditional classroom methods and autonomous training), virtual, and distance learning modes, from its three campuses: Soyapango, Antiguo Cuscatlán, and UDB Virtual.

Also, by 2023, the Faculty of Electronic and Automation Engineering will open a new program that will train professionals with skills in operation project management, production and maintenance of industrial plants, automated industrial systems, effective administration, and human development.

Furthermore, a degree program in Sustainable Financial Counseling will be inaugurated, which shall be entirely dedicated to training higher-level technical professionals with skills that will enable them to properly analyze the financial needs of individuals and small and medium-sized businesses. It will be taught at the Soyapango and Antiguo Cuscatlán locations.

These two new programs are in addition to the 43 bachelor's, 11 master's, and 3 doctoral programs that Don Bosco University offers, both blended and online. Many of them are unique, nationally and internationally certified and accredited programs.
