RMG – On the way to October 9: the cartoon on Artemide Zatti

28 September 2022

(ANS - Rome) - In view of the canonization of Artemide Zatti, set for Sunday, October 9, 2022, the Salesian commission that is coordinating all the activities inherent to the canonization of the Blessed Salesian coadjutor has undertaken to publish material useful to make the figure of the future saint known. Starting today, and in the days to follow, we will present some of these resources, all accessible to the public from the official website dedicated to Zatti's canonization: www.zatti.org

"The Story of Artemis Zatti" … in five minutes.

He experienced the hardships of poverty and the uprooting of immigrants. Illness accompanied him from a young age. He studied "as a grown up," looking for what his community needed: someone to care for the poor and sick... Do you really know Artemide Zatti?

On April 9, 2022, Pope Francis announced the canonization of Salesian nurse Artemide Zatti (Boretto, Italy, 1880 - Viedma, Argentina, 1951), a new saint for the Salesian Family.

In the simplicity of his life, in his service, in his deep life of faith, in his sense of community, and in his good humor, his contemporaries saw a person who had found a way to be happy and who was very much like Jesus.

We are all invited to watch a short summary of his life in just five minutes, available here.
