India – Inauguration of Don Bosco Blue Star Training Centre at Chinchwad

(ANS – Pune) – Don Bosco Chinchwad achieved a significant milestone with the inauguration of the Don Bosco Blue Star Training Centre at its institute on 25 November 2024. The event was graced by dignitaries from Blue Star and Don Bosco.

Setting the tone for the momentous occasion, Tr Sneha welcomed the dignitaries and guests with the traditional aarti ceremony. While adding a touch of warmth and hospitality, this also symbolized the institute's deep respect for its esteemed guests.

Mr Akshat Sharma, Vice-President of Technical Training at Blue Star along with Fr Blany Pinto, Provincial Councillor and Mr N. Kumaresan, Deputy General Manager of Training at Blue Star jointly cut the ribbon signifying the start of the Blue Star Training Centre.

Fr Pinto also inaugurated the Theory Lab, a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance the learning experience of the trainees. Mr Nilesh Chandgude, Principal of Don Bosco Chinchwad and Ranojoy Nandi, the Lead Specialist in Customer Service presented an overview of the facilities and the training to be imparted within the Training Centre.

Fr Anton D'Souza, the Rector, felicitated the dignitaries, while the management expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Provincial and Blue Star officials for their unwavering support.

Mr Sharma, delivered a captivating speech emphasizing how Blue Star's partnership with Don Bosco is a testament to the power of collaboration in shaping the future of our youth. He encouraged the groups to work on creating a workforce that is not only skilled, but also adaptable and equipped to drive innovation.

Fr Pinto, in his inspiring speech, commended the collaborative initiative between Don Bosco Chinchwad and Blue Star for empowering deserving students through vocational training. Emphasizing on Don Bosco's philosophy of holistic development, he said that it is the mission of every Salesian institute to aim on helping the youngsters grow intellectually, physically and emotionally. He also expressed his gratitude to Blue Star for establishing a state-of-the-art lab for the AC Refrigeration course, enhancing the training infrastructure.

the event concluded with a warm gesture of hospitality, as tea and snacks were served at the Admin block, further solidifying the spirit of partnership and collaboration.
