Among those in attendance were Fr. Joan Lluís Playà i Morera, World Delegate of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family, Bro. Domenico Nam, and the President of the Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco of Slovakia.
In his homily, Fr. Eric Cachia SDB, Provincial of Malta, reflected on Loredana’s “inner beauty and strength,” praising her example as a wife, mother, and committed Christian. He described her as someone who carried her illness with courage, optimism, and faith, transforming suffering into “a school of sainthood,” inspired by Mary Help of Christians, Don Bosco, and Mamma Margherita.
Fr. Cachia underlined how Loredana and Bryan lived their faith through constant prayer, adopting as their family motto “Thy Will be done.” Loredana dedicated her suffering to the most vulnerable, especially young people in need, and cherished a missionary project in Burundi for street children, which she had hoped to personally support.
“She was a hidden pillar of Bryan’s ministry,” Fr. Cachia noted, presenting them as a model Salesian couple, where his pastoral outreach was sustained by her prayer and quiet dedication.
Loredana is remembered with love by her husband Bryan, their two daughters, and her siblings. The Rector Major, Fr. Fabio Attard, who was in Turin with the meeting of the Provincials, also sent a message of comfort and appreciation, acknowledging her lasting legacy within the Salesian Family.
The Salesian Family and the World Past Pupils' Federation stand united in extending their heartfelt condolences and prayers to Bryan Magro, his daughters, and the entire family during this time of profound loss. Loredana’s legacy of faith, love, silent sacrifice and quiet dedication will continue to inspire all who knew her. May her example remain a beacon of hope and strength within the Salesian Family and beyond.
