RMG – Fr Peter Rinderer appointed new Provincial of Austria

(ANS – Rome) – As part of the work of the General Council, the Rector Major, Fr Fabio Attard, with the consent of the other members of his Council, has appointed the new Superior of the “Guardian Angels” Province of Austria (AUS) for the next six years: he is 39-year-old Fr Peter Rinderer, currently Provincial Councillor and Director of the Fulpmes work.

Peter Rinderer was born on 30 October 1986 in Feldkirch, near Vorarlberg, in the diocese of Vorarlberg, Austria. He underwent his novitiate formation at the house in Pinerolo-Monteoliveto between 2008 and 2009, and made hid first profession on 8 September 2009. He made his perpetual profession on 22 August 2015 in Vienna and was ordained priest in Benediktbeuern, Germany, on 1 July 2018.

He has carried out his entire post-ordination pastoral ministry at the Salesian house in Fulpmes, starting as Vicar in 2019 and becoming Director the following year, a position he has held until now.

For the AUS Province, in addition to being the Provincial Councillor (from 2022 to the present), he was also the Provincial Delegate for Missionary Animation from 2018 to 2021.
