The theme of the altar servers’ pilgrimage was "Titus, One of Us". Two hundred altar servers had a chance to realize what they have in common with Fr Titus - in the very place where he used to be an altar server. In fact, the Basilica is also significant because Fr Titus Zeman came here to become a Salesian and used to study at the nearby Salesian school. The altar servers were encouraged to make their hearts ready to fight for the Good, as Titus did. They spent the day playing games, praying, but also had a meeting and discussion with Bishop Jozef Haľko, Auxiliary Bishop of Bratislava Archdiocese.
The website is a tool for the Salesian Family all over the world to get to know properly the rich and interesting story of this Salesian martyr. It contains lots of information about the life of Fr Titus and about the progress of the process of beatification. Visitors to the website can also find out about people who were saved by Fr. Titus and read testimonies of others who knew him. In the section, “Titus Zeman – Movie” they will find a short video about his life. The book is edited by Dr. Lodovica Maria Zanet, Collaborator of the Postulator, and editor of the Positio super martyrio of the Venerable Servant of God. It is a 264-page text with a photographic insert. It is written at a fast pace in language which is both profound and compelling. It retraces the painful stages of the life of a man who paid a high price of suffering and humiliation for the sake of faith and freedom. Above all, it leads the reader to share the inner spiritual path of a man who passes through phases of search, trial, doubt, strength, and resistance, and finally the offering of the supreme gift of his life in accomplishment of the mission received.
Various events will take place in Slovakia to spread the knowledge of the life of Venerable Titus Zeman SDB. For example, on 2-3 June at the Lumen Festival in Trnava there will be a theatrical performance staged by animators and Salesians on the life of Fr Titus. In Košice and Bratislava, on 10-11 June, there will be a conference attended by Fr Pierluigi Cameroni, Salesian Postulator General, and Mrs Lodovica Zanet, author of the official document of the Positio. The beatification will take place in Bratislava on 30 September.
