The online presence of the Salesian institutions is widespread and abundant. News, videos, photos, reflections are shared daily, and intend to express what is happening inside the Salesian centers. The centers, schools, groups, federations, foundations, publishing houses, NGOs ... all animate a wide variety of initiatives for young people. There is so much life to tell! And all this life is just what the Salesians of Spain want to present on www.salesianos.info.
The intention of the promoters is for the site to convey the Salesian vision of the world, of society, of current affairs so as to allow it to generate its own opinions, always, of course, as a religious Congregation of the Catholic Church, dedicated to education and to the evangelization of young people.
On www.salesianos.info it will be possible to find news related to the Salesian Congregation, those concerning Spain, and the most important news from the over 130 countries where the Sons of Don Bosco are present.
The various groups of the Salesian Family are also presented on the site, as well as information from over 90 Salesian parishes in Spain, plus the activities of the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime.
Some sections will gather the most up-to-date news of some of the sectors of the Salesian mission, such as Youth Centers and Schools, and special attention will be given to Vocational Training, to Social Affairs, and to news in Salesian Social Platforms. Also, the most important contents of the Salesian Bulletin will appear, with the possibility of downloading the pdf version.
Behind this new adventure is the work of the Communication team of the Salesians of Spain who, for several years, has worked to energize communication within the centers, promoting formation, designing platforms and information products, administering web pages and institutional social networks, and curating relationships with mass media.
At the same time, the portal www.donbosco.es, a site that since 2004 has collected news and contents of the Salesian Family, will stop publishing news. Many of its resources will instead be channeled to the www.pastoraljuvenil.es site.
"With enthusiasm we launch ourselves into this new project that, hopefully, is useful for everyone. Welcome!," say the promoters of the new website.
