The meeting is also attended by Fr George Menamparampil, Coordinator of the Salesian Mission Offices, who in his initial speech underlined the importance of the work of these bodies in the current contexts, to obtain resources for the benefit of the recipients of Salesian actions.

"It is necessary for every Province to know that it has the right to receive economic assistance, but also to provide resources for other places where there are also many needs," said Fr Menamparampil.

Fr Maffeo Panteghini, Director of the Fundraising Office of the Province of Ecuador, welcomed the representatives gathered in Quito and spoke of the need to focus not only on the collection of economic resources, but also on the motivations, through the various communication channels, so that people take an active role and become missionaries in their different fields.

On the first day of work, each of the representatives of the Mission Offices briefly presented the work and the various initiatives underway in their own country, with the aim of strengthening the fund management offices through the exchange of experiences.

Today, training topics are being addressed, such as: "Fundraising strategies", with a presentation by Miguel Ángel Zumba; and from Ecuador the experience of the ties of "Salesian Solidaridad" will be shared. The ideas that emerge shall then be examined and re-elaborated in the various work groups.
