(ANS - Madrid) - The Departments for the Missions and for Social Communication have organized the first meeting of the communication teams of the Salesian Mission Offices in Madrid from 25 to 28 April. The meeting represents a new departure in synergy: "Mission Offices, challenges to effective communication in the new contexts of communication."

The meeting is an opportunity to rethink the forms of communication of the institutions from a new perspective: systemic, integrated and collaborative; to optimize work with the mission offices and to have access to a huge communicative power.

Taking part are the Mission Offices in Madrid, Bonn, Turin, New Rochelle, New Delhi and Warsaw. There are also representatives of the Department for Social Communication/ANS, the Department of Communication of the NGO "Jóvenes y Desarrollo" and the National Delegate for Social Communication of Spain. Fr Filiberto González, General Councillor for Social Communication, is presiding at the meeting.

The topics to be addressed include the sharing of working methods through knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses, the sharing of experiences and best practices, evaluation and rethinking of the institutional communication model, the search for communication strategies capable of responding adequately to new scenarios, and the search for points of synergy and cooperation and collaboration in the use of social networks."

This first meeting on the subject of the Communication is intended to contribute to develop synergies to serve the neediest, especially young people.
