RMG – "Living the tenderness of God's love for his children". Rector Major's invitation for Christmas 2019

24 December 2019

(ANS - Rome) - On the eve of Christmas 2019, the 10th Successor of Don Bosco, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, sends greetings to all his confreres, to the Salesian Family and to the young: to remember that “there are many reasons to feel profoundly good, because profoundly loved by God"; but also to animate "to have eyes to see and more open hearts" to help solve humanity's many challenges.

The Rector Major does not ignore current problems: the difficulties in taking care of Creation, the condition of those who emigrate due to wars and violence, the lack of decent work for many young people ... "This too becomes present, as pain, in the mystery of the Christmas of God, who becomes the Word, flesh among us."

But the Rector Major assures his prayer for all and invites to celebrate this Christmas with the capacity to "live the tenderness of God's love for his children" and the desire to commit oneself to create "a more beautiful humanity and a marvellous Creation."
