(ANS – Namugongo) – Nearly 1,700 youth at Salesian schools in Uganda had better nutrition thanks to a partnership between Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, and Rise Against Hunger, an international humanitarian organization growing a global movement to end hunger.
(ANS - Kollam) – Yesterday was Earth Day—and while the sight of heaps of plastic-loaded garbage in the cities is a depressing reminder of how much work needs to be done—allow the electric autorickshaws (a three wheeler vehicle), popular passenger taxi commonly used driven by the fisherwomen of Kollam to bring you some positive vibes with their empowered use of clean transport.
(ANS – Madrid) – On the occasion of World Earth Day, celebrated on 22 April, various activities were organised in many Salesian centres, in addition to several ongoing activities carried out throughout the year. Earth Day was established to remember that the planet and its ecosystems give us life and sustenance: in addition to promoting this harmony with nature. This day is celebrated to promote ecology and environmental protection.
